Pet Policy

At Sole Mates, we work hard to keep our hikes welcoming, comfortable, and enjoyable for everyone. We’re all about being diverse, inclusive, and united on the trail — and that means making sure every hiker feels at ease.

Because not everyone is confident around dogs, and because we’re a hiking group first (not a pet-walking service), our official policy is to discourage bringing dogs on our hikes, even when the venue allows them.

It’s nothing personal against the pups — we love them — but a single nervous hiker can spend an entire trail feeling anxious instead of enjoying the scenery. We’d rather keep the atmosphere relaxed and dog-free so everyone can share the trail comfortably.
